Rocket Lab (RKLB) notched its largest government contract to date—an $816 million award from the U.S. Space Development Agency for 18 missile-tracking satellites. The deal, part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, solidifies the company’s role in national security infrastructure while pushing total SDA contract value past $1.3 billion.

The announcement followed Rocket Lab’s 21st successful Electron rocket launch of 2025, deploying an Earth-imaging satellite for Japan’s iQPS. Shares jumped 5% in pre-market trading, extending year-to-date gains to 177%. Stifel analysts raised their price target to $85, citing execution momentum.
